Civil Litigation Associate (1–7 Years Experience)

Sherr Law Group is seeking a civil litigation attorney (1–7 years’ experience) to join our practice in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Our firm handles complex litigation and advisory work for municipalities, businesses, insurers, and institutions throughout Pennsylvania.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced trial counsel on high-stakes litigation in state and federal courts, with significant responsibility and direct client engagement.

Responsibilities
The attorney in this role will work closely with the managing partner and will take an active role in litigation matters, including:
- Managing civil litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive motions
- Conducting depositions and managing discovery
- Preparing cases for trial and evidentiary hearings
- Handling oral arguments and court appearances
- Working directly with clients, insurers, and institutional stakeholders
- Participating in appellate and complex motion practice when appropriate
The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of cases while receiving mentorship from an experienced trial lawyer.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
- 1–7 years of civil litigation experience
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Experience with motions practice, depositions, and court appearances
- Comfort working in both state and federal court
- Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with senior counsel
- Strong professional judgment and client communication skills
Experience in any of the following areas is particularly helpful but not required:
- Employment litigation
- Municipal law or civil rights defense
- Products liability
- Complex tort litigation
